Emerald Island
Corfu is considered to be one of the most attractive islands of the Mediterranean. It is the northernmost island in the Ionian Sea and the closest to Italy is the point of Greece. Many conquerors wanted to rule over the amazing land of the Greek gods, and the great creators sang in their works the amazing beauty of the island.
Surviving the reigns of various conquerors of Corfu, they absorbed the traditions, lifestyle and diversity of cultures that at various times flourished on the island, and partially reached our days. Continue reading
Mosaic of Central Macedonia
A “fasten seat belt” light came on above the seats, and a few minutes later the liner emerged from the impenetrable shroud. A land appeared, above which clouds hung in shreds of white cotton. Scattered upward, they looked more like smoke from campfires — as if in each flap of an unevenly cut blanket the open fires were simultaneously extinguished. Golden Autumn Pilio
If you get riddled with the expression “velvet season” (you can frown again), and you do not share the excitement of the “budget” public from the post-seasonal price drop, perhaps the phrase “golden autumn in Greece” sounds less trite for you: first because you can’t find golden autumn in mass-mass Greece during the day – by the end of the season, summer burns down popular resorts to the color of the desert, and secondly, because the Mediterranean flora in the dying stage simply refuses to take on the appearance sung by poets, somehow suddenly nerom antique, dropping the sun-scorched foliage and finding themselves in impartial negligee.
